Wedding photographer in london.

Elisabeth and Andy's wedding was my first 'solo' wedding - I had worked only as a 'second photographer' before then - and the memories of their wedding will always be special to me.

This photograph, taken outside the Norske Kirke in Rotherhithe just after their wedding ceremony, uses a small depth of field to capture the bride and groom in detail while blurring the background. Use of small depths of field can create dramatic wedding photography, and it forces to the viewer to focus on the subject of the photograph.

This photograph has three focus points in the centre of the image: Elisabeth's beautiful wedding bouquet, and the glimpses of each of the bride's and groom's faces as they embrace. The photography style is unobtrusive; the couple are unaware of the photographer, and image captures a moment of true love shared between the newly-weds just a few minutes into their marriage. The couple and any guests at the wedding will recognise the building in the background as the Norske Kirke.

If you have not visited the Norske Kirke, I highly recommend it - even if you are not getting married!  It is a lovely Church with wonderful history directly opposite the entrance to the Rotherhithe tunnel south of the river.  Everyone associated with the Church were very friendly and helped make my job of photographing this wedding a real pleasure.
